Intermediate: Role of Women

In this course, we will focus on the different roles women had during the uprisings of the Arab Spring and what developped out of their engagement. Did women's role in society change and if yes, how? The focus will be on TV reports and interviews, but written media will be used as well. The intensive work with the materials will, therefore, significantly improve your listening comprehension skills of Modern Standard Arabic. Discussions in class will develop your oral fluency, expand your lexical repertoire and bring your passive vocabulary to regular use.
