Beschreibung

The ecological movement has paralleled the increasing awareness of the right of individuals; it originated from, and belonged to, the general liberation process of the oppressed—the slaves, women, children, animals—which is a modern and post-modern phenomenon; from the very beginning, ecology regards the organisms as the subjects of life who have their home, interest, rights, and ability to interact with the others; since each organism is the subject (agent) of interaction, there is no “centre” in the eco-field; if each organism is the subject of its life, then the relationship between them is that between different subjects; the “core” of ecology is the principle of the inter-subjectivity of organism; it, perhaps, has no counterpart in the pre-modern culture (e. g. pre-Qin period or ancient Greek).
