Description

During the last decades, intersectionality has emerged as a powerful and productive concept across different fields and disciplinary approaches within gender studies and beyond. It has become a key concept in analyzing inequality in general and differences among women in particular. At the same time, discussions of the concept itself have insisted on the need for theoretical and empirical contextualization. The workshop will explore theoretical and methodological dimensions of the concept of intersectionality as well as its applicability in different research settings with a particular focus on transnational perspectives.
