WorkshopAbstract
The panel will focus on PhD programs and the transition from doctoral studies to an early academic career. The aim is to discuss the similarities and particularities of the various national academic systems (Germany, France, Switzerland, the US, and beyond), current developments and problems, and the openness or closed nature of the national academic systems for postdocs from outside.
The audience will be given ample time to participate in the discussion and raise their own questions and issues. PhD students and postdocs in particular are invited to join the panel discussion. The panel will be followed by an apéro, which will provide an opportunity for informal exchange.
