Creation of the text collection

The online Gender Studies text collection was created in cooperation with the E-Learning Center of the Faculty of Arts and SWITCH, which develops Internet services on behalf of Swiss universities and operates an interuniversity database. The original aim of the project was to create an electronic library that could be operated and used beyond the University of Zurich in cooperation with other university centers for gender studies within the framework of the Gender Studies CH network. This would have provided both students and lecturers with an attractive pool of fundamental research literature. Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, the project could not be realized in this interuniversity form. The online text collection is therefore currently only available to lecturers at the University of Zurich who offer their own courses in the field of gender studies.
The current inventory reflects the courses offered to date in the field of gender studies. We are endeavoring to continuously expand this inventory and welcome the submission of additional fundamental texts, which we will gladly include in the text collection.
