Doctoral schools are an instrument of academic development. They offer junior researchers the opportunity to work out their PhD thesis or Habilitation in the framework of a study program.
From 1999 to 2002 there was, for the first time, an inter-university doctoral school in the field of Gender Studies, in which UZH also participated. Since 2002, this school was continued through a range of doctoral schools at the individual universities. Further information on current Doctoral Programs in Gender Studies at Swiss universities can be found at GenderCampus.
